Support Team

Our Staff

We are a multi-disciplinary team of community workers dedicated to providing support services in a caring and professional manner. Our Board is dedicated to maintaining a highly skilled workforce with funds allocated for staff training, professional development and a competitive wage structure for the sector.

Meet our Personal Support Workers

Our team of 35 Personal Support Workers (PSWs) cover both the Richview and Widdicombe apartment buildings. PSW staff are on-site 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Working from an empowerment model, PSWs assist clients in completing activities of daily living while encouraging tenants to do as much for themselves as possible. All of our staff has completed the Ministry of Education and Training certificate required to achieve the designation of Personal Support Worker. An ongoing program for staff development enables our front-line staff to keep current with new care-giving practices and technology.

Meet our Office Coordinator

Ivona Zibreg - Office CoordinatorIvona Zibreg is the friendly voice at the end of the phone directing inquiries about our Richview Residence programs and services to the most appropriate staff person. She is also in contact with front-line staff through a paging system and can help field requests for urgent personal assistance from Richview tenants.

Meet our Care Managers

Sabine Neverson - Care ManagerOur Care Managers,  Sabine Neverson, Jean Morgan-McKenzie, and Tenzing Chumbay visits each client prior to establishing a care plan tailored to each tenant’s abilities and challenges. Clients are assessed in their apartment homes using a holistic bio-psycho-social assessment tool. The Care Manager’s job is to ensure clients receive the right services at the right time to enable them to live as independently as possible. A strong focus on supportive counseling, information and referral combine to help tenants make informed decisions about the services and living choices that are best for them.

“The model at Richview enables us to really get to know the community because we see people everyday going about their activities. People get to know us in person and are willing to come to us during times of illness or crisis to talk about what they need. In addition to being responsive to individual needs, we have a good understanding of the collective needs of the community we serve. This enables us to allocate limited resources in an equitable way.”
